Duties:
Develop rig inspection and management system audit concept. Inspect
drilling rigs and audit drilling contractors management systems for oil
operators and drilling contractors. Perform rig and rig equipment
inspections and rig equipment surveys for insurance companies
and potential rig buyers. Perform rig acceptance testing and compile acceptance
testing procedures. Lecture on drilling efficiency, project management, and drilling
cost control at the Chevron/Amoco Training Center. Write and compile
drilling operations manuals for oil operators, including deepwater drilling
operations. Develop and market drilling software. Do legal defense
consulting and accident/incident investigations for oil companies and
drilling contractors involving personal injury and equipment damage.
Global Marine Drilling Co. - Aberdeen Scotland

Vice President European and West African Operations
Period:(1991-1993)
Duties:
Responsible for an eight rig drilling operation in the U.K., Dutch and Danish sectors of the North Sea and a four rig operation in
Gabon and Angola.
Accomplishments:

The European Operations for Global Marine became accredited for ISO; 9002 and BS 5750 Subpart 2.

Established a program of Total Quality Management and Team Based
Management. Established an Operator's Objective Identification
and Compliance Program.

Computerized the entire operation including Inventory Control,
Morning Report Database and established a Drilling Efficiency
Program.

Completed a survey of the North Sea operators assessing Global Marine's
position in selected performance criteria and developed and implemented
a plan to raise the image of Global Marine in the industry.

Developed and implemented an Integrated Drilling Services Department.
This department reported directly to me. The IDS Department
successfully completed the British Petroleum Hyde project. This
was the longest reach directional sell ever drilled in the U.K.
North Sea.

Developed and set up a turnkey drilling division separate from the
Global Marine Inc. ADTI division. This division drilled a successful
and profitable turnkey well for Fina Petroleum. It was the first full
turnkey well ever drilled in the North Sea and the first international
turnkey well for Global Marine. This division also reported directly
to me.

Developed and set up a complete Safety Management System, the result
of which has been an exemplary safety record, the Glomar Labrador I
having achieved seven years without a lost time accident. Global Marine also had the first safety case approved by the U.K. Health and Safety Executive.

Developed and set up a complete maintenance audit system including a
sub sea maintenance planning and trouble shooting system. This has
resulted in less than .02% of the total operating time being mechanical
downtime.

Developed and set up a full emergency response system and developed
bridging documentation to the oil operators.

Developed and implemented a cost control plan that has resulted in $5.5 million saving as compared to budget, for the year ending 1993. The plan consisted of cost control planning as opposed to cost cutting.
Global Marine Drilling Co. - Siracusa, Italy

Duties:
Responsible for a five rig operation offshore Sicily, Malta, Tunisia
and Spain. This operation consisted of three drillships, one 300 ft jackup
and one semisubmersible.
Accomplishments:

Two rigs in this operation achieved over five years without a
lost time accident. The jackup operation achieved five years with
no mechanical downtime.

Successfully started up new operations in Siracusa, Italy; Ravenna,
Italy; Piscara, Italy; Tunisia; Spain, Morrocco and Greece.
Global Marine Drilling Co. - Houston, Texas

Vice President Operations
Period:(1980-1983)
Duties:
Responsible for the West African, Southeast Asian, Australian and Texas
Gulf Coast operations. These operations consisted of jackup,
semisubmersible and drillship operations.
Accomplishments:
Successfully started up new operations in: Australia, Thailand,
Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Dolphin Drilling Co. - Lafayette Louisiana

Duties:
Responsible for six platform rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and two drilling
tenders in Brazil.
Accomplishments:
Successfully started up new operations in Northern Brazil.
Atlantic Pacific Marine Corporation - Houston Texas and
Maersk Drilling Pusan, Korea and Brunei, North Borneo.

Period:(1974-1978)
Duties:
While Manager of Engineering - Responsible for the construction and startup
operations of a semisubmersible in Pusan, Korea and Brazil. Responsible
for the construction and startup of two posted inland drilling barges and
numerous repair, refit, drydocking projects. Responsible for initiating,
organizing and staffing a fleet maintenance program and for writing and
compiling operations manuals.
While Operations Manager in Brunei, North Borneo and Sarawak,
East Malaysia. Responsible for the operation of two offshore rigs,
one tender assisted platform and one platform rig.
Santa Fe Drilling Co. - Aberdeen, Scotland and Port Harcourt,
Nigeria

Duties:
Responsible for one semisubmersible while in Scotland and one
drilling tender while in West Africa.
